VISION
Mandira developer Tom Novecosky's love of discovery had always drawn him to the West Coast. The wild beauty, temperate climate, friendly people and coastal style appealed to his curious nature. It wasn't, however, until he discovered a jewel of a property in Comox, right on the ocean, that his connection with the Coast truly began to take shape.
That was the beginning of Mandira by the Sea, a signature residential and commercial development that will grace the waterfront of one of the West Coasts most scenic towns, Comox.
With his dream property secured, Novecosky set out to discover the ideal architect. All roads led to a renowned architect with a deep, abiding commitment to the craft and practice of West Coast architecture Brian Hemingway.
Mentioning the name Hemingway in the context of architecture evokes sighs. His work has been featured in prominent publications, including Architectural Digest and is the recipient of many prestigious awards.
Hemingway's distinctive style evokes intimations of natural harmony, intuition and integration. He believes homes are more than buildings they should be temples for the soul. This philosophy is the inspiration for the name Mandira, a name referring to Eastern temples, which are considered a place of serenity.
Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's principles of organic architecture, Hemingway's style is reflected in the one-of-a-kind homes he designs throughout the world. Mandira is one of his rare multi-residential projects and presents a truly unique opportunity to purchase a Hemingway-designed home.
